4,400 rats were destroyed at six major markets in Lagos State

4,400 rats were destroyed at six major markets in Lagos State under its de-rat market programme. This was made known by the Environmental Health Officers Association of Nigeria (EHOAN), Lagos State Chapter.

The destruction of rats in the markets was part of the association’s efforts to curb the spread of Lassa fever in the state.
