Singer Korra Obidi recounts how she survived a ghastly car accident and robbery in Lekki
Banker turned singer Korra Obidi was driving her new ride
along the Lekki road in Lagos on Friday night when her brakes failed and the car ran into the centre of the roundabout, she sustained minor
injuries in her lips when the airbags deployed.
"On Friday I had a ghastly
motor accident at the Lekki roundabout with my new car. It ran headlong into
the centre of the roundabout as my breaks failed, airbags forcefully exiting
their cases to give a dirty slap on my face, bursting my lip in the process. I
am not too damaged tho. To add pepper to injury, I was robbed by the people who
pretended to come help me. My so called precious phone, wallet and cards, all
my money all stolen. As I sat there stranded at 2:53am after a superb
performance, I realized how much I had relegated God to a thing of convenience,
I prayed for Mercy and miraculously, my wrecked car, drove me back home. This
is my testimony. Go to church. In a minute, all you hold dear can be taken from
you. Praise him for your life. I am grateful for mine."
