Lamborghini considers building an electric car

Lamborghini Centenario
Italian automobile brand Lamborghini which was established in May 1963 (54 years ago), well known for its line up of super-fast exotic cars such as: Aventador, Centenario, Gallardo, among others, is considering building an electric super car.

The building of the electric car was made known by the CEO of Lamborghini Stefano Domenicali at the 2017 Geneva auto show. He said that they have interest in building an electric super car, but the technology at the moment cannot deliver the handling, weight and performance characteristics which will be required.

He further reiterated that “electrification is an area of great attention for them, but he is not seeing the possibility of a Lamborghini electric super car before 2025, stating that they need to be realistic.”

Lamborghini might have drawn their inspiration from Porsche, a super car manufacturer who have unveiled their first electric super carconcept Mission E.

Meanwhile Mclaren and Ferrari both rival super-cars are yet to make their intentions known if they will join the league of building an electric super-car.
