No Rooftop Sensors in Magna Autonomous Self-Driving Platform
Self-Driving cars are becoming more innovative as Magna develops an Autonomous Driving Platform which will not require the use of rooftop sensors, as seen on most self-driving cars.
The system which enables Level 4 autonomous driving, will be introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany later in the course of the month.
The system which is known as MAX4, integrates LiDAR, ultrasonic sensors, cameras and a computing platform into the vehicle's body.
The vehicle will require no supervision from a human as it can drive and make decisions for itself. However Drivers can choose to move in autonomous or manual mode.
The push of a button can be used to engage or disengage autonomous driving mode. When the vehicle is in an autonomous mode, it can be deactivated by applying the brakes.
Are you ready to purchase a car that will be driving itself with no supervision?
