Taxi service company "UBER" crashes

US firm "Uber" that is a taxi service company without a single car to its name, but operates with individuals applying to be Uber drivers with their inspected and certified cars, is in a huge battle to get its operating license renewed according to Reuters.

Uber taxi company operates in Europe, America and Africa, however the British capital's transport regulator, declared Uber unfit to operate and hold a private vehicle hire license, due to safety and security issues in London.

The regulatory body also stated that Uber's approach and conduct demonstrate a lack of corporate responsibility, as some criminal offences, background checks on drivers is very poor.

Uber which is operated with a mobile app, does not have the ability to track cars, and investigate incidents between Uber Drivers and customers, which is a safety and security concern.

The operating license expires on September 30 2017, and it will not be renewed. This decision will affect 40,000 London Uber Drivers.

In the past, London's black cabs have criticized and protested against Uber, stating that the black cab is an iconic part of London, which enables you will get metered fare, and guaranteed safety.

The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, is glad with the choice of the regulatory bodies to deny the application for license renewal by Uber.

In conclusion Uber are not letting their guards down, as they said that they will contest the decision in court.
