Honda hopeful in developing fast charging electric cars

Honda is planning to develop electric cars that will be able to charge within fifteen (15) minutes and attain a range of 240 km (150 miles). The fifteen (15) minutes charge will beat the current lowest car charging time which is thirty (30) minutes.

If this becomes a reality, the electric car will be able to go head on head with petrol and diesel powered cars.

Honda will install 350 kW of car charging systems, and develop high tech electric car batteries which will be able to withstand the extreme fast charging system.

It is interesting to know that Europe plans to have several thousand of the 350 kW charging stations in the year 2020, which is also the same year that Porsche will debut its Mission E luxury sedan, that will have the capability of getting to the 80% charge mark within fifteen (15) minuted.
