Starbucks To Ditch Plastic Straws Globally By 2020 To Help The Environment

In a bid to save the environment Starbucks Coffee Co which is based in Seattle, USA will relieve straws by 2020 globally which will in turn reduce ocean waste. For this initiative to be possible, Starbucks will utilize a straw-less lid at 8,000 stores in USA and Canada for certain drinks.

This move by Starbucks is estimated to eliminate more than 1 billion plastic straws a year.

Starbucks made this announcement on Monday, a week after the city of Seattle banned single use plastic straws and utensils at businesses that sell food or drinks.

The environment is so precious to everyone living on this planet, so with this great move by Starbucks, we are saying thank you.
