CALL FOR POSTPONEMENT OF KOGI WEST SENATORIAL PRIMARIES

It is disheartening that our great party, All Progressives Congress is associated with the charade we are witnessing in Kabba in the guise of primaries

As at 21.50 on Wednesday, 3rd October. 2018, accreditation is yet to commence.

The Kabba Township Stadium is devoid of any human presence as the facility is in total blackout. The same applies to the Events Center earmarked for the primaries.

Consequently, the primaries is yet to commence and any insinuation to the contrary is nothing but propagation of falsehood.

Most delegates are now weary because of the uncertainty surrounding the primaries after enduring the discomfort of staying for over two days for a scheduled event that was supposed to last just a single day.

We don’t want to believe this is a ploy to disenfranchise delegates towards a predetermined ignoble end.

Consequently, we hereby call for a postponement of Kogi West Senatorial primaries to Thursday, 4th October, 2018 for transparency, equity, credibility and fairness.

We hope the leadership of our great party will take the necessary action to ensure the travesty going on is tackled unambiguously.

Latest information reaching us, is that voting is ongoing at a private property in Kabba without accreditation.

If this is true, then the impartiality of the election committee is in serious doubt.

The negative impact of the attempted electoral heist on our great party is better imagined than experienced.

The struggle to ensure there is equity and transparency in the entire process will be sustained till the proper thing is done.
