The United Nations has said a BIG NO to testing if a girl is a virgin

A joint call by a group at the United Nations, has called for a ban on illegal act of testing if girls are virgins as it is practiced in about 20 countries.

Virginity testing which is also referred to as per vaginal examination, two-finger or hymen, is a gynecological inspection of female genitalia carried out in the false belief that it can reliably determine whether a lady has engaged in a s3xual act with a guy.

They stated that if a girl or woman undergoes virginity test, it violates their human rights and they are unscientific. This statement was made during the World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) in Rio De Janeiro.

The vaginal testing which has been criticized by UN Women and the World Health Organiczation (WHO) stated that "this medically unnecessary, and often times painful, humiliating and traumatic practice must come to a halt."
