Alex Iwobi's father should be praised for his strides not just Okocha

In recent times anytime Alex Iwobi a football player for the Nigerian national team (Super Eagles) and Arsenal FC, hits a milestone, his success is usually attributed to Jay Jay Okocha (Nigerian football legend) who is his nephew.

In a recent debate online, a Twitter user wondered why all praises always go to Okocha instead of his father Chuka Iwobi.

If you all can remember vividly, when Alex Iwobi was to choose between playing on the international level, his father was instrumental in ensuring that he played for Nigeria instead of England, despite the fact that he was already playing for the English at the U 15 & U 18 levels.

Let us try to praise his father also. Thank you.
