Finally The Long Awaited Bridge To Bonny Island In Rivers State Nears Completion
For so many years now, to access Bonny Island in Rivers State, the means of transportation to live by is by boat or by helicopter. The masses go by boat which is most times risky due to the small boats used on the big river with heavy dangerous waves connecting the mainland of Rivers State to Bonny Island.
A big thank you to the APC led Government of Muhammadu Buhari as that will be a thing of the past, since a bridge from Bodo in Ogoni land to Bonny Island nears completion.
Tolu Ogunlesi the head of Digital Communications at Aso Rock made this revelation.
Tolu made a statement and said: "Bonny-Bodo Road in Ogoniland. One of the projects under @MBuhari’s Road Infrastructure Investment Tax Credit Scheme. It will connect Bodo on the Rivers Mainland to Bonny Island. As of Jan 2019, 4.5km of asphalt highway completed. Entire project is 38km, including 2km of Bridges."
He continued: "Through the @MBuhari Road Infrastructure Development & Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme, companies willing & able to spend their own funds on constructing roads to their factories/farms,will recover their construction costs by paying reduced taxes, over a period of time"
He went on: "In the first phase of projects under the Road Infrastructure Development and Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme, 19 Eligible Road Projects are to be undertaken by 6 leading manufacturing and construction firms, located in 11 States, & in each of the 6 Geo-political Zones."
He concluded: "The Private Sector Partner on this road project, under the @MBuhari Road Infrastructure Development and Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme, is the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited @nigeriaLNG - contributing half of the cost while @AsoRock contributes the rest"
Who will you rather vote for as your President come February 16th 2019?
