Yenegoa Airport Bayelsa State Receives It's First Plane
Air Peace blew peace on Bayelsa State as it became the first plane to land in Yenegoa International Airport on 14th February 2019.
The Governor of Bayelsa State Seriake Dickson was aboard the Air Peace plane that took off from Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos and landed at about 1pm yesterday at the new Yenegoa airport. Senator Ben Bruce and other dignitaries were present at the ceremony.
The Yenegoa Airport has a 3km runway, which means any plane can land there. It is a high rise airport which means it can never be flooded.
The Bayelsa State Government single-handedly built the Yenegoa Airport spending about N69 billion. The contract was handled by Dantata & Sawoe.
