Miss Port Harcourt City 2018 Beauty Queens Clean Up Tourist Beach In Borokiri
The beauty queens were involved in sensitization for impact and environmental clean up in the city of Port Harcourt on Friday 8th March 2019.
This is what Miss Port Harcourt City had to say on their Instagram post:
"Yesterday being the 8th of march 2019 Marked the world's international women's day and the 5th of march was the world wild life day In celebration of the both for impact. "My environment my wealth" as a Rivers state based environmental advocacy NGO Invited young women and youths for sensitivitization and cleaning of the environment of which the focus was the portharcourt city tourist beach borokiri.
The environment is the mother earth that provides us with the air, food, clothing's, shelter and comfort. With all the pollutions are harzards destroying our mother earth it can only be careless to think that environmental issues are government problems only.
Actually in a larger sense it is the peoples problem.
The miss portharcourt city Queens were not left out as the organization was proudly represented by two queens (ambassador for development, and youth ambassador). To relish that the organization is just about beauty but brains, these two were the only beauty queens out for this impactful work.
The beach was cleaned out from early hours of the morning of plastics and non biodegradable waste and also from the water ways, all waste bagged and disposed properly.
