Post Ogoni Clean Up Launch: What Next? - NTA Tuesday live
Minister of Transportation Chibuike Amaechi and the Environment Minister of Nigeria Amina Mohammed featured on NTA Tuesday live yesterday which was anchored by Cyril Stober.
The topic of the discussion for the show was: "Post Ogoni Land Clean Up Launch;
What Next?"
In line with the 2011 UNEP report, President Muhammadu Buhari launched the Ogoni land clean up, which took place on the 2nd of June with Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo presiding over the event.

However Amaechi noted on the show that the ruling class
has pulled down the Niger Delta people and oppressing the poor in the country. He also stated that poverty in the land doesn't have coloration, North, South, West or East.
A discussant on the show stated that "people who have opportunity get oil well. They immediately turn overnight from poor to become billionaires."
Another discussant made the point and said: "I do not believe and think that the Ogoni youth are the only ones that can handle the work of the clean up."
A point which was later deliberated on was "will the Niger Delta challenge be solved after the clean up of the Ogoni land?
