See the Self Driving Electric SUV China wants to build: Nio Eve
China are breaking boundaries as they intend to manufacture an electric car which will also be a luxury self driving car.
NextEV a Chinese startup is the company taking this daring step which will most likely compete with Elon Musk’s Tesla in electric car production in a couple of years to come.
NextEV a Chinese startup is the company taking this daring step which will most likely compete with Elon Musk’s Tesla in electric car production in a couple of years to come.
The Nio Eve Concept which was unveiled at the SXSW in Austin, Texas is the electric car that
NextEV are going to build which will be produced in mass production and launched in the year 2020.
The Eve will be the first car from the Nio
brand to launch a self driving car with features such as: independent self
driving with no assistance (no presence of steering wheel or pedals), sliding
doors looking more like a mini-van, short front and rear, passengers
interaction with a digital assistant called Nomi which can either be achieved
verbally or through an augmented-reality display on the windshield.
One distinguishing thing we have noticed about
the interior of this Eve concept car, is that it looks like a conference room
where business meetings can be held on the go without even realizing that the
meeting is being held in a moving car on wheels. We also noticed that the
interior looks like a luxury hotel room on wheels along with the provision for
all the passengers to relax all through the trip. It is a self driving car that
requires no single assistance at all. This is a great masterpiece.
Due to the fact that NextEV is a startup, it
might not be able to produce the car in large volumes, however there is report
that NextEV would partner with JAC Motors a Chinese car company to produce the
car, which will enable them to produce the car in large units.
The Chinese company actually intends to launch
this driver-less electric car in the US come 2020.
Could this be the next electric car that will
change the perspective of car functionality and self driving experience, and the future of cars?
