Car wrecks are too expensive to repair due to safety technologies
There is certain safety technologies used in
vehicles to keep passengers safe while driving or in the event of a crash. For
example some vehicles are equipped with more than six airbags, lane departure
warning systems, back view which assist in preventing vehicle crash, injuries
and death, but when there is a car crash affecting the safety technologies, the
fixing price goes over the roof.
Due to the increase in car sales and more people
driving more there have been more car crashes than ever before, leading to
damage to these safety technologies which are of high cost and leading to more
increase in the repairs to be made.
Insurance companies have of recent declared some vehicles
involved in crash to be damaged beyond repair, because of the cost that it will
take to repair the vehicles, which is increased by the damage done to the
safety technologies installed in the vehicles.
Also there was a report that natural disasters
destroyed various car shops in the United States, leading to a loss of $560
million. The vehicles destroyed were about 100,000 which occurred in Dallas and
San Antionio after hail storms in 2016.
Whenever there is a vehicle crash insurance
companies take care of the repairs, but the good that safety technologies damaged
during a crash is too expensive for the insurance companies to handle, which is
a huge challenge.
But to a great extent, aren’t the safety features
very good, as they prevent injuries and death, even if they are too expensive to
fix when damaged?
