Tesla to launch full electric semi-truck this 2017

The incoming of the electric vehicle is nearer than expected as Tesla is taking the bull by the horn with the possibility of launching a semi electric truck in September.

A teaser image of the semi electric truck was revealed by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, during a TED Talk, he stated that the semi truck will be all electric, which will outrun the diesel trucks, and he is confident that the truck will outperform a traditional semi truck.

Musk also revealed that a sporty driving will be experience while in the cabin of the truck and in the handling, which will be likened to driving a sports car.

The image showcased looked like a futuristic kind of curved shape, which is presumably aimed at boosting aerodynamics, with a bright L-shaped LED lights reflecting.

The specifications and top speed and distance the truck will be able to go have not yet been revealed.

When this electric semi truck is launched, will it be capable of achieving what the diesel trucks are achieving?
