The meet up started at 4pm on the
dot, there was no African or Nigerian time, and however the rains came pouring
down, which can be likened to showers of blessings. However that did not
prevent the cruise from taking place as over 70 BMW's showed up for the cruise.
The BMW’s were parked in an
orderly form, with number tags on each car, which will enable orderliness in
the cruise.
The president of the club enlightened
everyone present about the essence of the club, with the possibility of
becoming a member at an affordable rate. He recognized a driver who drove all
the way from Lagos and another driver who drove for five hours from Kano for
the cruise. He also recognized the first female BMW driver to join the cruise,
which will set the pace for other ladies who love the BMW brand to go on-board.
The president informed the
drivers that they will cruise slowly in a convoy, emphasizing that no driver
should speed, overtake or engage in any dangerous stunt, for safety of the
drivers and other road users.
After the president was done with
the orientation, all the BMW drivers took a group photograph, then the line up
