Innovation never stops as 2018 is set to be a great year for the automobile industry. Muscle cars are known for their loud sound, that comes out from the exhaust upon start up and on transit, with no exception to the Ford Mustang.
The sound of the Ford Mustang in recent times, has been disturbing the neighbourhood when the owners engine starts. The Ford company has worked on that loud sound which makes the horn look useless, by adding a mute button to the 2018 Ford Mustang GT.
To resolve this challenge, Ford has added a quiet exhaust mode and quiet start features in the 2018 Ford Mustang GT which will reduce the sound of the exhaust and the loud sound when starting the car. To avoid trouble from angry neighbour's, now when the car will be started in the early hours of the morning, the car will say "shhh!!! the neighbour's are still sleeping." Like as if cars can talk 😂
The new quite exhaust mode limits volume of the engine by using an active valve performance exhaust system that closes valves to restrict the amount of noise made by the car.
The quiet exhaust mode and quiet start feature can be accessed when the driver toggles through the general settings menu on the standard 4-inch instrument cluster display. Once this is activated, the peak exhaust sound when the engine starts will register at 72 decibels, which Ford describes as the same level of sound that the dishwasher produces.
