Advanced traction control system to be introduced in most recent BMW models

German auto maker BMW are updating their most recent models with an upgraded traction control system (TCS) which will have more effect than the traditional systems.

The electric arm of the Bavarian machine is the first to enjoy this exclusive package as the BMW i3s was the first to handle the advanced traction control system.

The advanced traction control system (TCS) which will improve stability in wet and slippery roads, will also assist in accelerating out of tight corners in poor weather conditions, 50 times faster than the regular TCS.

In the advanced TCS, the control process will be calculated directly in the powertrain instead of the latter which was in a remote unit and requires long signal paths.

Electric vehicles demand more from driving stability systems which in turn, prompted the development of the advanced TCS, because of their high levels of torque and quick responses.

Not withstanding that, the advanced TCS also improves stability and traction performance in traditional combustion cars, even if they are equipped with front, rear or all wheel drive.
