Audi Gets More Creative With The Traffic Light Information

The Audi vehicles are becoming more advanced as they are rolling out more of the Traffic Light Information (TLI) system which started first in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have been testing the TLI since 2016, prior to that, they have been expanding the technology to different cities across the US. Audi recently added Washington as part of the cities in the US to utilize this technology.

The Traffic Light Information (TLI) as the name implies, will achieve a car to traffic light communication system which will enable safe vehicle movement at intersections.

Here is how the TLI works, the Audi vehicles will communicate with traffic lights at smart intersections, which will give a feedback of the amount of time that the traffic signal will turn from red to green or from green to red. This will enable the vehicle to know when to slow down when it is getting close to an intersection if the traffic light will turn red soon or get ready to move if the traffic light is about to turn to green.

One thing that is very interesting is that the car will be equipped with a 4G LTE, which will enable the car to receive real-time information from the traffic signal.

This technology will lead to safer roads, and an introduction to driver-less vehicles which will control the speed of vehicles at intersections.

With this technology in place, the Audi is getting smarter.
