Rivers State Government House Church Celebrates One Year Anniversary in Port Harcourt

Psalm 92:1 says "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High." In the high spirit of thanksgiving mode, top leaders of the Rivers State Government and elders of the State on Sunday gathered at the Government House Port Harcourt Chapel of Everlasting Grace to offer thanks for the first year anniversary of the church. God is worthy to be praised and exalted.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus were joined by commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries and top civil servants to offer thanks to God for his mercies.

Speaking at the thanksgiving service, Nyesom Wike the Rivers State Governor thanked the clergy and Christian Faithful for their prayers which have sustained the administration.

He urged them to intensify their prayers as the state enters a more trying period in 2019.

Wike said that the Government House Chapel of Everlasting Grace was constructed to give glory to God at all times no matter the situation, our God is a good and merciful God.

Highpoint of the celebration was the presentation of awards to Nyesom Wike his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, Speaker Ikuinyi-Owaji Ibani, Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor, Engr Chukwuemeka Woke, Permanent Secretary of Government House Administration, Dr Onyenachi Nwankwor amongst others.

Prayers were said for Rivers State Government, people of the state and special thanksgiving songs lifted the spirit of worshippers.
