Porsche Cayenne sets Guinness World Record as it pulls Airbus A380
For a regular day-to-day car to pull an aircraft is not a joke. The German SUV Porsche Cayenne has gone beyond its limit to carry out an extraordinary task to pull a 285-tonne Airbus A380 over a distance of 42 metres.
This feat has made the Porsche Cayenne make it into the Guinness Book of World Records, of a standard production car pulling the heaviest aeroplane, which was set at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
This feat has made the Porsche Cayenne make it into the Guinness Book of World Records, of a standard production car pulling the heaviest aeroplane, which was set at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
The previous record was
set by a Nissan Patrol back in 2013, which pulled 117 tonnes of aeroplane.
The Porsche Cayenne set
the new record pulling a 285 tonne, 516 seat, 73 metres long Airbus A380
offered by Air France over a 42 metres distance, using a standard Cayenne S
Diesel, which is equipped with a 4.1-litre V8 twin-turbo producing 380 brake
horse power.
The car was driven by
Porsche GB technician Richard Payne, and was repeated using a 562 brake horse
power Cayenne Turbo S.
Will you be willing to let your car pull an Airbus A380?
